I’ve been on a doctor ordered sabbatical from any heavy lifting, thus no serious studio shots for a while. Until today.

Worked with a wonderful group from Philly called National Eye. They are on Park The Van Records (the same label as Dr Dog ) and have an album out called “The Farthest Shore”. You should check it out. Good people, and we enjoyed wonderful potatoe samosas afterwords.

Additionally, more rumours of my demise have been exaggerated even more so

Spent a wonderful afternoon with a great folk music singer, and my new friend Hezekiah Jones ( hezekiahjones.com ) aka Raphael Cutrufello. He is getting lots of very well deserved praised in and around the Philadelphia music scene as well as across the country. You will be hearing more from this great guy, keep a look out. Ah Ha! Finally a title that combines two bands , who actually go well together. Or something. Anyway, last friday night 8.16.08, at Johnny Brendas, Bodies of Water, and the awesome opener, Port O’Brien. Said to be M. Ward’s favorite band, Port O’Brien kicked all forms of ass.
